Spring is that time in the park when nature is bring to life the flora and fawna of the park. Therefore very little activity is operating except the clean up and the getting ready to the summer season. The park opens in the last quarter of Spring. The Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park have sponsored and supported a number of events for the Spring season.

Saturday, April 3rd - Easter Egg Hunt In The Park
This event will start at 1:30 pm for kids who want to have their faces painted. The Easter Egg Hunt will start at 2:00 pm for kids pre-school age to 6th grade
Children will be separated into three age groups. Some eggs will have tickets for special prizes. After the festivities a bonfire and refreshments will be served by the Friends of Glacial Lakes group.
Park permits are required to attend this event

Sunday, May 16th - Annual Permit Drive at the Park
This events was created to encourage area residents to purchase their park permits locally
The Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park will be serving beverages and cookies to park visitors from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
There will be a drawing for several prizes to those people who buy permits on this day. The drawing will be held at 3:00 pm

• 1st prize - 50 Dollar Gift Certificate
• 2nd prize - 20 Dollar Gift Certificate
• 3rd prize - 10 Dollar Gift Certificate

Saturday, June 12th - Glacial Lakes State Park Open House
On this day all state parks are open to the public without charge
The Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park will be serving Hotdogs and a beverage to visitors in the park from 12 noon to 2 :00 pm
The Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park also have planned a SCAVENGER HUNT for the children
Tours will also be organized for those who would like to see the major features of Glacial Lakes State Park. The tour will start at 1:30 pm

Monday, May 17th - Tree Planting In The Park
This event takes place when the park system has enough money to buy trees for the park
The Friends of Glacial Lakes State Park are happy to volunteer their labor to help the park staff plant trees in an effort to upgrade the natural beauty of this great state park..
